INDEPENDENT FIELD STUDIES (Undergraduate)
To Enroll
You must submit a completed and signed Petition for Individual Studies form (available from the sponsoring department office) to the Summer Session Office, as well as a summer Registration Form (available by clicking here). Note that Field Studies are independent of session and may be completed any time during the ten-week period.
Fees for Independent Field Studies
The following fees apply to students who are only enrolled in independent field study programs. Fees below include a $100 non-refundable registration fee.
Because of these reduced fees, independent field studies students do not receive a summer sticker for ID Cards (unless purchased separately for an additional $235). Please contact the Parking Office if you are interested in purchasing just a bus pass for the summer.
NOTE: If you are eligible for Financial Aid and are enrolled in Independent Field Studies, please allow up to two weeks for the field "course" to be set up in the computer system before your aid can be dispersed.
